DESCRIPTION
This talk will tackle specific controversies specific to current SCI care and research directions with the goal to encourage thought, offer a greater understanding of what and why we do what we do and study, and what we need to consider moving forward. This will be followed by panelists offering their thoughts on these areas.
ABOUT DR KIRSHBLUM
Dr Kirshblum is a Senior Medical Officer and Director of SCI Services at Kessler Institute for Rehabilitation in West Orange NJ, and is the Chair of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Rutgers New Jersey medical School. He also serves as the Chief Academic Officer for the Select Medical Rehabilitation and Division and Chief Medical Officer for the Kessler Foundation. He has been involved in SCI research and clinical care for 27 years and is the co-PI of the Northern NJ Model SCI System. He has published many articles a number of textbooks on SCI.
