ABOUT CHESTER HO
Dr. Chester Ho is a Professor and Division Director of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation (PM&R), Endowed Chair of Spinal Cord Injury (SCI) Research at the University of Alberta; and Alberta Health Services (AHS) Edmonton Zone Section Chief of PM&R, and AHS Senior Medical Director for the Neurosciences, Rehabilitation & Vision Strategic Clinical Network. Dr. Ho graduated from the University of Cambridge in UK, before moving to the United States where he completed his residency in PM&R at the Harvard Medical School/Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital, and fellowship in SCI Medicine at the Kessler Institute for Rehabilitation/University of Medicine & Dentistry New Jersey. Dr. Ho has a special clinical and research interest in the health services delivery for persons with SCI, as well as the rehabilitation management following SCI, such as the use of functional electrical stimulation to promote neurorecovery. He is particularly interested in the integration of research into clinical practice.
