Harnessing Technology for Precision Rehabilitation

Rehabilitation technology development and uptake has accelerated over the past decade and the COVID-19 pandemic has necessitated rapid adoption. This webinar will present a forward-thinking approach to technology for rehabilitation with a precision medicine mindset. Attendees will be challenged to consider how and why they use technology in their practice or research to support their rehabilitation clients. Dr. Proffitt is an assistant professor with 10 years of research experience in virtual reality and technology for stroke motor rehabilitation including quantitative and qualitative data collection methods, data analysis and translation from clinical to engineering/programming. Her background includes teaching experience in research methods and assistive technology and clinical experience in an inpatient setting focusing on neurological populations and assistive technology evaluations.
