The presentation will also include an in-depth analysis of current opportunities and challenge to advancing the development and adoption of mobile health/rehabilitation innovations. Finally, the discussion will delve into practical considerations for operationalizing remote therapeutic monitoring services.

ABOUT STEPHANIE D. BARNES

Stephanie D. Barnes, Senior Counsel at Nixon Gwilt Law, is a health care innovation attorney providing business counsel and legal advice on the healthcare regulatory landscape, legal and business risks and opportunities for healthcare companies. Her diverse career began at an international law firm and has spanned to serving as a general counsel of a health system and in-house counsel at a medical school. She has acquired expertise in digital health and telemedicine, virtual care management reimbursement, SaaS, contracting, Fraud & Abuse, MSO-PC model and the corporate practice of medicine, and healthcare reimbursement. She also provides counsel on corporate and transactional matters including, but not limited to, business formation, business development, corporate governance, and strategy advice regarding business models, financing, and healthcare transactions. Stephanie serves as strategic advisor emerging digital health companies on governance and startup financing.

Barnes is also an internationally acclaimed speaker and an awarding winning author on leadership, gender equality and women’s rights. She has been featured in the Harvard Business Review, Personal Excellence Magazine, and the Huffington Post. Dr. Barnes has also presented a TEDx Talk, “What’s in a Name? How Leadership Discourse Perpetuates Gender Bias”.
