“I am honored and humbled to receive this award. I work each day with some amazing early career folks who are making impactful contributions to rehabilitation research. Their talent and passion is what motivates me.”

Trudy Mallinson PhD, OTR/L, FACRM, FAOTA

The award presentation will occur during the ACRM 97th Annual Conference on Wednesday, 21 October, during the Early Career & First-Time Attendee Welcome, following the Early Career
Development Course. Please join us in congratulating Dr. Mallinson for her achievement.

Dr. Trudy Mallinson is Associate Professor and Associate Dean for Research in Health Sciences at The George Washington University. Her research interests are outcomes measurement and visualization of data so that clinicians and patients can make better treatment decisions, together. She advocates that clinical assessments should look and operate like rulers, so they can be used that way: to measure a single dimension at a time, compare real patient differences, regardless of who is using the ruler or who they are measuring.
