LEARNING OBJECTIVES
Upon completion of the webinar, learners will be able to:
- Discuss opportunities and barriers when working in rehabilitation and within a low resource setting, during an epidemic outbreak
- Provide an updated overview of guidelines for COVID-19 care, based on data collected and compared across 19 countries in Latin America
- Outline considerations on how to work with the SCI population during the pandemic
- Describe how to work with limited resource during the pandemic
- Outline the incoming COVID-19 in spanish to help care for rehabilitation patients in the Latin American region
ABOUT MELINA LONGONI DI GIUSTO
Dr. DiGiusto is Medical director of the ReDel Rehabilitation Center and Director of Disability of the Municipality of Ituzaingó, Ministry of Health in Buenos Aires. She is Scientific Advisor for BBraun Medical Argentina and Professor of the Diploma in wound care of AIACH at the UAI University also in Buenos Aires.She is also Scientific Secretary of AIACH (Argentine Interdisciplinary Association for Wound Healing) 2019-2021 and is President AMLAR-Res (Latin American Medical Rehabilitation Association – Residents). She is also a member of CLAGIR (Latin American Committee for Rehabilitation Research), Member of the America ́s Committee of A.S.I.A., and Member of SAMFYR (Argentine Society of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation).

Target Audience
Rehabilitation professionals (Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapists, Speech-Language Pathologists, Neuropsychologists, and physicians in physiatry and internal medicine, and other related specialties).
Physical Therapy: CSMC is a recognized by the Physical Therapy Board of California as a continuing competency approving agency. This course is being offered for 1.0 hours of continuing competency credit in California. Partial credit will not be offered.
