I am the new co-chair for the TNG Communication Task Force. My main duty for this role is to create the newsletter twice a year (spring and fall). I am honored to have the opportunity to help!

Goals & Plans for 2024 for Communication Task Force (Newsletter)

  • The 2024 Spring newsletter will focus on introducing new/existing TNG members our new chairs/positions within the TNG group, and recap the TNG awards in 2023 ACRM conference.
  • The 2024 Fall newsletter will focus on promoting our TNG members’ presentations (e.g., poster, symposium) in 2024 ACRM conference.

Other Goals or Interests for 2024

I am working on a project examining the clinical utility of commercial fitness trackers (e.g., Fitbit, Apple Watch) compared to research-grade accelerometers (e.g., ActiGraph) for upper extremity movement in the stroke population. I am looking for new collaborators! If you are interested, please contact me!

I am an Occupational Therapist with expertise in technology-based approaches for neurologic recovery. I spent ten years in hands-on clinical care before transitioning to robotics/telehealth research then entered the startup world. Imago Rehab launched in 2021 to provide technology-enabled virtual care for adults with stroke. We currently serve 6 states and are eager to expand our reach in 2024.

Goals & Plans for 2024 for Clinicians and Industry Task Force

  • Increasing our numbers of therapists/clinicians and folks from the technology/medical device sector to initiate conversations, partnerships, research opportunities, and advance technology development and implementation
  • Facilitating presentations in our task force meetings and at ACRM conference that bring together our sectors.

Other Goals or Interests for 2024

I would love to help members of the TNG who are interested in meeting appropriate partners “across the aisle” so please reach out if you need expertise from clinical or industry voices! Also, I want to help members who haven’t presented at conference to take that step. I’m here to help you learn about the process or to discuss your ideas for presenting in Dallas or in Chicago in 2025.
