Spring 2022 Edition
Join as at our Online Annual Business Meetings to learn more about the I-ISIG and to get involved.
Annual meeting, September, 2021
The Annual Business meeting of the Interdisciplinary International Special Interest Group (I-ISIG) was virtual this year. Upon initiation of the meeting, roll call was taken and the meeting was recorded. As we transition from the ING to IISIG, we will be seeking more representation on the Board of Governors and will be reappointing officers and staggering elections as appropriate; this will allow our group to maintain continuity in membership, yet renewed interest and perspectives. In an effort to gain visualization and increase collaboration within ACRM, we are encouraging our members to join other groups/communities within ACRM. In the coming year, we are excited to offer webinars presented by our own Task Force chairs; we expect to offer 1- to 2- webinars annually (at least 30 days before or after the conference). Additionally, we will create an awards committee and nominations committee as per our bylaws. We are excited to begin tracking member information regarding what brings them to the ACRM community and find out more about what draws our colleagues to join the IISIG.
As our group continues to grow, our members and their roles are also evolving within ACRM. Chris MacDonnell will be stepping into her new role with the mentorship program with Dr. Backus. Terry Carolan, the new CARF medical Rehabilitation managing director, will take over Chris MacDonnell’s role with IISIG. Terry is a Physical Therapist by training and has been with Kessler/Select for 20+ years. conference delegates from different parts of the world. Fofi Constantinidou will also step down as the I-ISIG chair as she moves into her new role on the board of Governors, but will now be the past president. Taking over her position upon the end of the annual conference is Kristine Kingsley.
