CIRM Secretary works to advance Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities

Joan van Rotterdam, BsC, GradDip (Chiropractic), MMSc, PhD, CIRM NG Secretary is also the chair of the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Rural and Remote Practioners Network (ARRPN) and again for the Australian Chiropractors Association (ACA). As chair of this committee, Dr. van Rotterdam and these networks are adding to the  Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) and are adopting the recommendations of the National Health and Medical Research Council (NHMRC) the principles provided by them for researching in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.
