Noelle Carlozzi Your MNG Chair

The ACRM Measurement Networking Group (MNG) promotes the development, application, evaluation, and utilization of “state-of-the-art” measurement instruments for the advancement of disability and rehabilitation theory and practice. MNG includes a diverse membership with representation across several different disciplines (Medicine, Nursing, Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, Psychology, and Speech Therapy …just to name a few). Our group focuses on the application of instruments in education, research, practice, and quality measurement activities for the purposes of assessment, planning, and evaluation.

Members aspire to produce and synthesize evidence of psychometrically advanced and improved measurement that enhances patient care and influences healthcare policy. We seek to promote the development and application of high-quality instruments that are used to improve patient care, healthcare delivery, and public health.

In this capacity, we hope to provide a valuable resource for rehabilitation providers in the selection, use, and interpretation of outcome measures to inform evidence-based practice and policy. We currently have 8 extremely productive task forces; see below for a summary of the different projects that these task forces are working on and how you might get involved.

We look forward to hearing from you and hope that you might consider getting involved with our networking group. And as for our current members, it is a great pleasure working with all of you and I look forward to continuing to grow within the ACRM community.

With warm regards,

Noelle E. Carlozzi
