In this presentation, we will review built-in accessibility features for both iOS and Android OS devices.This presentation will provide a brief review of built-in accessibility features and third-party apps available on both iOS and Android devices that can be utilized with persons with a wide variety of diagnoses across the continuum. We will provide more focus on the features most applicable to rehabilitative medicine, such as low vision and limited hand function. Attendees will learn how to configure these features, explore practical tips and tricks, and discover how to combine multiple tools for more efficient and independent device use. This webinar is ideal for those seeking to improve client engagement, empower patient autonomy, or enhance accessibility within clinical, educational, or community settings.

ABOUT MEGAN MAHAFFEY
Megan Mahaffey is an Occupational Therapy Clinical Supervisor with 18 years of experience working in rehabilitation working primarily with clients with spinal cord injury/disease and pediatrics. This led to her interest in assistive technology where she specializes in physical access for smartphones/computers, 3D printing, smart home technology, and adaptive gaming. She has presented both regionally and nationally on these topics. She is a certified assistive technology professional (ATP) and has a board certification in physical rehabilitation. Additionally, she is an adjunct professor in the Trinity Washington University MOT program.
ABOUT MANDY SUMMERS
Amanda Summers is an OT with fourteen years of experience, primarily with persons with spinal cord injuries and with assistive technology. She is currently employed on the Kennedy Krieger Assistive Technology team where she works with individuals on mobile device/computer/AAC access, adapted gaming, positioning and mounting.
