CONGRATULATIONS 2023 Award Lecturer
The ACRM Pediatric Rehabilitation Networking Group is pleased to honor Molly Fuentes, MD, MS, with the 2023 ACRM Pediatric Rehabilitation Award Lecture. She will present at the ACRM Annual Conference. This presentation will be accessible to registered attendees on demand through March 2024.
ABOUT MOLLY FUENTES
Dr. Molly Fuentes, MD, MS is an Assistant Professor of Rehabilitation Medicine at the University of Washington School of Medicine and a citizen of the Confederated Tribes of Warm Springs. Her clinical practice in Pediatric Rehabilitation Medicine at Seattle Children’s Hospital focuses on inpatient rehabilitation and the multidisciplinary neuromuscular clinic. She has general Pediatric Rehabilitation Medicine outreach clinics in Anchorage, Alaska including at the Alaska Native Medical Center. Dr. Fuentes attended the University of Michigan Medical School and completed residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at the University of Washington, also serving as Chief Resident. Dr. Fuentes then completed a clinical fellowship in Pediatric Rehabilitation Medicine at Seattle Children’s and then a research fellowship at the Harborview Injury Prevention and Research Center and an MS in Health Services from the UW School of Public Health before joining the faculty of UW. Dr. Fuentes’ academic interests include culturally responsive rehabilitation practices (particularly for Indigenous children), reducing health inequities, and incorporating health equity into physiatry training.
