Board Certified Pediatric Clinical Specialist in Pediatric Physical Therapy

Jill Cannoy works as a Physical Therapist and Advanced Certified Clinical Instructor at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta within the Acute Rehabilitation and Orthotics and Prosthetics Departments. She is a Board Certified Clinical Specialist in Pediatric Physical Therapy from the ABPTS with 8 years of clinical experience. She graduated with a doctorate in physical therapy from Emory University in 2012, and completed an APTA accredited Pediatric Physical Therapy Residency Program in 2014. Jill serves as a faculty mentor in the Pediatric Physical Therapy Residency program at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta. She is a member of the Limb Deficiency Program at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta and serves as an advisor for Camp No-Limbitations.  She serves on her hospital’s Early/Intubated Mobility Guiding Team and developed an advanced competency for staff on the Role of Rehabilitation in Pediatric Oncology. Jill is an active member of the APTA and within the Pediatric and Oncologic sections, with special interest on the role of rehabilitation in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU), Pediatric Oncology, and Pediatric Limb Differences and Deficiencies. Jill serves as Co- Chair of the ACRM Limb Restoration Rehabilitation Networking Group Implementation Research Task Force. Jill has presented on her areas of interest at the local and national level, including Association of Children’s Prosthetic and Orthotic Clinics Annual Conference and The Amputee Coalition’s Annual Conference, and has publications with the Journal of Pediatric Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation Oncology.
