R13 Diversity Complementary Integrative Rehabilitation Medicine FELLOWSHIP

The Center for Optimal Aging at Marymount University and the American Congress of Rehabilitation Medicine (ACRM) are pleased to announce a $1,000 fellowship award for talented early-career scholars from diverse backgrounds to participate in the ACRM R13 Diversity, Complementary & Integrative Rehabilitation Medicine (CIRM) Workshop funded by the NIH NCCIH/NCMRR grant #R13AT012585.

The ACRM R13 Diversity CIRM Workshop held in conjunction with the 2024 ACRM Annual Scientific Meeting will provide research training, mentoring, and networking for emerging scholars interested in the field.

ABOUT the FELLOWSHIP

Selected fellows will receive a one-year ACRM membership and $1000 stipend to cover travel expenses to Dallas, TX. The fellowship includes:

  • In-person participation in the CIRM Workshop on 31 October from 7:30 AM – 2:30 PM;
  • PAID registration to attend the in-person ACRM Annual Meeting in Dallas, TX, from 31 October to 03 November 2024;
  • Networking in the monthly virtual CIRM group meetings.
  • Selected fellows are required to submit a poster for the CIRM Fellow Poster Award Session during the annual meeting, with two posters being selected for monetary awards ($300 each).

APPLICATION PROCESS

  • Curriculum vitae.
  • A short personal statement (500 words or fewer) describing your research interests and commitment to the field of rehabilitation medicine.
  • A description of how the R13 CIRM Fellowship will impact your scientific career development.
  • A diversity, equality, and inclusion statement vision for the rehabilitation sciences.
  • A letter of recommendation from a supervisor, or mentor.
