GOALS
The goal of the task force is to improve healthy ageing and functioning of older adults through promotion and exchange of evidence on sensory health among stakeholders of aging and geriatric rehabilitation research. The task force will strive to support clinicians and researchers in the integration of sensory health and sensory impairment rehabilitation in aging care and research. This will be an interdisciplinary group with members from diverse professional background and areas of research who are interested to collaborate, create, implement, learn and share the best practices from evidence-based research.
KEY OUTCOMES
- Mentorship opportunities for trainees and early career researchers on how to integrate sensory health and rehabilitation in their work,
- Initiating and establishing projects on knowledge synthesis and exchange of best practices on sensory health among stakeholders,
- Creating a symposia or panel on sensory health in aging research at the ACRM Annual conference 2023.
- Possible posters or paper presentations from the task force members at the ACRM Annual conference 2023.
