ABOUT LOREN DAVIDSON
I am a pediatric Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R) physician and Medical Director for the Spinal Cord Injury Program at Shriners Hospitals for Children® – Northern California. I also serve as Residency Program Director and Pediatric Rehabilitation Medicine fellowship director at the University of California, Davis in the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. Clinically, my areas of expertise focus on the care for children with spinal cord injury and cerebral palsy. I am a medical consultant for California Children’s Services (CCS) Medical Therapy Program (MTP). In my role as consultant, I provide medical direction for special needs children receiving therapy, durable medical equipment, and orthotics services through this state funded program. My current funded research explores the use of telemedicine as a means to provide subspecialty PM&R medical direction to underserved communities.
