The ACRM Fellows Committee and Board of Governors are pleased to recognize Dr. Susan Magasi for her outstanding record of professional service to ACRM and for the nationally significant contributions she has made to the field of medical rehabilitation by conferring on her the designation of ACRM Fellow.

ABOUT SUSAN MAGASI

Dr. Susan Magasi is an occupational therapist by training who earned her PhD in Disability Studies and completed a post-doctoral fellowship in health services and outcomes research. She has over a decade of continuously funded community-based participatory research aimed at the promotion healthcare, cancer care, and participation equity for people with physical disabilities. Specifically, she has focused on the development and evaluation of one-on-one and mHealth-enabled peer support and self-management interventions. She is grateful to the exceptional team of rehabilitation and healthcare researchers and members of the disability community who have generously served as mentors and colleagues. She is passionate about mentoring the next generation of rehabilitation and disability equity scholars.
