ACRM Policy & Legislation Committee

 

VISION — To position ACRM as a leader in the interdisciplinary rehabilitation policy landscape

MISSION — To monitor, advocate for, and propose government / non-government national and international policies that promote disability and rehabilitation research, evidence-based practice, resources for people with disabilities across the continuum of care, and access to rehab and support services for people living with disabilities

Responsibilities

  1. Represent ACRM on the Disability & Rehabilitation Research Coalition (DRRC). ACRM is 1 of 7 members of the steering committee… monthly steering committee & monthly all-member meetings.
  2. Review and edit memos, requests for information, recommendations, etc., that DRRC sends to elected and appointed officials.
  3. Inform ACRM members of proposed and recently passed regulations / legislation, and highlight opportunities for ACRM members to participate in the process.
