I-ISIG Member Awards
The Brucker International Symposium
Each year, the International Networking Group sponsors the Brucker International Symposium held during the ACRM Annual Conference. This I-ISIG signature event was established in 2008 in memory of Dr. Bernard (Bernie) Brucker, a long-standing ACRM member, who died unexpectedly that year. Originally established as a lecture luncheon, the event has become a popular ACRM tradition and continues today as a very special symposium.
The 2023 International Bernard Brucker Symposium is Dr. Stephen Bornheim, Physician in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. He has been teaching neuro-rehabilitation at Liège University since 2015, both theoretical and practical courses, and since 2014 he has been working as a physical therapist in the Liège University Hospital, in the neurological internal medicine ward and Stroke Unit. He will be presenting his work on “Transcranial Direct Current Stimulation in Stroke Rehabilitation: From Lab to Rehab”, at the 2023 ACRM Annual Conference, Wednesday, November 1, at 4:00 PM (Location: Crystal Ballroom C).
