Clinical Applications Task Force

 

GOALS

Support the integration of RTSS in clinical practice. Our focus is to achieve increased specification and measurement of therapy interventions in clinical documentation, to support clinical decision-making by rehabilitation professionals, and trial strategies to increase use of the RTSS in clinical settings.

CURRENT PROJECTS

 

2026 Current Projects

  • Manuscript underway related to documentation requirements in therapies and how RTSS may help to facilitate
    • Want to develop checklist for clinicians to use when documenting
      • Focused on RTSS and what is needed for billing requirements
  • Currently focused on outpatient but may be valuable to follow up with inpatient manuscript in the future.
  • Coordinating with Curriculum TF to develop shared resources to help with training clinicians
  • Discussing idea of creating an RTSS implementation toolkit (i.e., RTSS Lite)
  • Potential paper about common barriers encountered in clinical application of the RTSS
  • Supporting ongoing adoption of RTSS into EHR at SRALab

  1. Developing and pilot-testing RTSS-informed documentation in occupational therapy, physical therapy, and speech language pathology domains of practice
  2. Drafting a manuscript on how RTSS may support documentation for reimbursement purposes and justification of skilled services
