About Kristen Hohl
Kristen Hohl currently divides her time as a physical therapist working in a technology implementation role and working in Dr. Miriam Rafferty’s KTEAM at the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab in Chicago, IL. Kristen received her Bachelor of Science in Biology from Denison University in 2009 and her Doctor of Physical Therapy from University of Pittsburgh in 2012. She earned her APTA Board certification in Neurologic Physical Therapy in 2017. Kristen’s clinical physical therapy background involves working with individuals with neurological diagnoses and medical complexity across all levels of care. As a leader in the organization, she readily employs evidence-based interventions into her clinical practice. Her research interests include using implementation science to understand the translation of evidence into clinical practice.
About Miriam Rafferty
Dr. Miriam Rafferty is a Research Scientist and the Director of Implementation Science at the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab, as well as an Assistant Professor at Northwestern University’s Feinberg School of Medicine in the Departments of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation, Medical Social Science, and Psychiatry & Behavioral Science. She is also an active physical therapist clinician specializing in neurologic physical therapy. Dr. Rafferty’s research uses implementation science methodology to study the implementation of evidence-based practices and novel technologies into real-world rehabilitation settings. She has grants from the National Institutes of Health, Parkinson’s Foundation, and Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality.
