Dr. Pamela Roberts will be presented with the 2025 ACRM Distinguished Member Award

Dr. Pamela Roberts has won the ACRM Distinguished Member award in recognition of her significant contributions to the development and functioning of ACRM. Dr. Roberts has held leadership roles in major organizations such as the American Congress of Rehabilitation Medicine (ACRM) and the American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA), including serving as ACRM President and chairing various networking or special interest groups, including CDNG. Her research focuses on health services research, particularly using electronic health record (EHR) data to evaluate the impact of occupational therapy on population health. She has also contributed to the development of innovative tools like a mentoring-match algorithm for interdisciplinary rehabilitation professionals.

Dr. Mark Hirsch is presented with the ACRM Outstanding Mentor Award

Dr. Mark A. Hirsch, PhD, FACRM, FPRD, has been awarded the ACRM Outstanding Mentor Award in recognition of his exceptional contributions to rehabilitation medicine, particularly in neurorehabilitation and Parkinson’s disease. A member of ACRM since 2008, Dr. Hirsch has held numerous leadership roles, including Chair of the Neurodegenerative Diseases Networking Group and Co-Chair of the Committee on Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion. His scientific achievements include pioneering research on neuroplasticity and exercise, leading to improved patient outcomes and international recognition. He has published extensively, organized over 30 symposia, and contributed to over 70 peer-reviewed publications. Dr. Hirsch has guided over 100 trainees. His advocacy for diversity and inclusion is evident through his support of underrepresented scholars and organization of annual symposia amplifying marginalized voices.
