The ACRM Fellows Committee and Board of Governors are pleased to recognize Dr. Monique Pappadis for her outstanding record of professional service to ACRM and for the nationally significant contributions she has made to the field of medical rehabilitation by conferring on her the designation of ACRM Fellow.

ABOUT MONIQUE PAPPADIS

Dr. Pappadis is an Assistant Professor (soon to be Associate Professor) of the Department of Nutrition, Metabolism, and Rehabilitation Sciences at the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston (UTMB) and an Investigator at the TIRR Memorial Hermann’s Brain Injury Research Center. Since 2004, she has conducted patient-centered outcomes research in stroke and traumatic brain injury. She has won several research awards, published over 40 peer-reviewed publications, and disseminated several educational materials for persons with TBI and their caregivers. Her current research includes elder mistreatment, health literacy, minority aging, and equity/disparities in care and outcomes among older adults with TBI. She is Chair of the Committee on Diversity, Equity and Inclusion and Co-Chair of the Career Development Networking group.
