Share Your COVID-19 Success Stories

The International Networking Group (ING) is looking to share success stories from all around the word in managing the COVID-19 effects, with a focus on rehabilitation medicine. These stories may include public or private initiatives of clinical, research, or other content that allowed for the management and/or understanding of COVID-19.

Your success story needn’t be more than 250 words – keep it short and sweet. Longer content will be considered and will be edited down if deemed necessary.

If you wish to share your country’s / state’s / city’s success story please email Eva Pettemeridou, ING Communications Officer.

Step into a leadership role as ING Social Media Officer

If you are interested, please go through the following requirements to ensure this opportunity is a good fit for you, then contact ING Chair, Fofi Constantinidou to express interest.

  • A positive attitude

The Service Delivery Task Force Needs Your Input

Members of the Service Delivery Task Force of the International Networking Group are conducting a survey to explore opportunities and challenges clinicians / researchers encounter when working with individuals from diverse backgrounds than their own. If you have not already responded to this important survey, please search your inbox for an invitation sent from crobinson@acrm.org or 11 June and provide your input today. The survey will close on 30 June. If you are unable to access the survey and would like to participate, please contact Cindy Robinson.

Contribute to Ad Hoc COVID-19 Work Group

The International Networking Group has decided to establish an ad hoc work group to address some of the needs of the international rehabilitation community during the COVID-19 Pandemic with the charge to work on the following two issues:

  • Create a depository of helpful material and links, relevant to the international community
  • How do we address mental health needs in this time of crisis? There have been innovative approaches proposed and we can certainly learn from our Chinese colleagues. One idea is to organize a webinar on Mental health considering the following three groups of stakeholders:
    1. Patients with covid 19 with or without rehabilitation needs
    2. People living with the fear of the disease and experiencing the effects of social isolation
    3. Health care providers who are in the front lines
  • How do we continue to provide services to those in need during the pandemic?

If you are able to share your talents and knowledge at this difficult time, please contact Fofi Constantinidou and Kristine Kingsley.
