Dr. Cathy Stern OD, FCOVD, FCSO, FNORA is a behavioral/neurological optometrist who specializes in treating visual processing challenges that are frequently experienced by patients with a history of brain injury, learning disability and special needs. She has an interest in assistive technology for these patients and those with visual (sight) impairment. Dr. Stem presents courses in the USA and around the world about acquired brain injury, vision and learning, special needs and assistive technology. Dr. Stern’s interests include collaborating with other professionals to design products to enhance visual perception. This includes ATIA Maker Day, PerkinsHacks, MIT “Engineering the Eye” and Srujana Centre for Innovation at L.V. Prasad Eye Institute in India. Dr Stern is an instructor for the Neuro Optometric Rehabilitation Association (NORA), the College of Syntonic Optometry (CSO) and adjunct faculty New England College of Optometry (NECO).
