BIO
I have been a physical therapist working in rehabilitation for 40 years. I have spent the last 25 years conducting rehabilitation research. I have served on several advisory boards for grants such as RERCs, NIDRR model systems, NIH multi-center trials, NIH DSMB and NSF. Most importantly, I was on the advisory board for this PCORI grant entitled “Better Rehabilitation Through Better Characterization of Treatments: Development of the Manual for Rehabilitation Treatment Specification (RTS).” After learning the how to use the RTS manual, I contribute on ways to refine the manual. Since this time, I have contributed to ACRM by facilitatating the Board to create a “home” for the Rehabilitation Treatment Specification Networking Group now lead by John Whyte and Jeanne Zanca. I have contributed to this group via regular monthly conference calls, am active in the RTSS curriculum task force and am contributing to a Cochrane reviiew using the RTS as a framework to evaluate rehabilitation and related literature.
