Kaori Ito is a PhD student working with Dr. Sook-Lei Liew at the University of Southern California. There, she is using kinematics along with multi-modal MRI to investigate biomarkers of motor recovery in individuals who have chronic stroke. Kaori is an Occupational Therapist by background, and has trained extensively on using functional and structural MRI to examine brain-behavior changes following stroke, using both primary and secondary data. With her advisor, she has developed two open-source software packages to facilitate stroke data analysis.
