Tedra Cleveland joined Encompass Health, formerly HealthSouth Corporation in September of 2004 as Compliance Director. In that capacity she had considerable involvement in the establishment of the regulatory risk assessment process. In 2014 she joined Encompass Health’s Legal Services Department to provide assistance with investigations as well as Stark Law-related risk assessments. In 2015, she joined the Medical Services Department
Prior to joining HealthSouth, she was Director of Provider Services for HealthSpring of Alabama, an HMO serving primarily Medicare Advantage beneficiaries. Her earlier experiences included management positions with MedPartners, Tenet, and HealthPartners of Alabama (HMO) with an emphasis on managed care contracting and compliance with State and Federal agencies. She also served as a consultant to the State of Alabama Department of Public Health.
Tedra has an undergraduate degree in Business Administration (major in Health Care Management) from Appalachian State University and Masters Degrees in both Health and Business Administration from the University of Alabama at Birmingham.
