BIO

Dr. Carter has been a clinical psychologist specializing in the acquired brain injury since 1989. He has provided direct care for adults with behavioral disturbances following a brain injury, run in-patient residential programs for adults with disruptive behavior following TBI. He continues to serve as the primary psychologist for the brain injury program at the Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital in Charlestown. He provides consultation on behavior management throughout the hospital and the Spaulding Rehabilitation Network. He is a Certified Brain Injury Specialist Trainer. He has provided multiple lectures and classes on the topic of disruptive behavior after BI nationally and internationally. He has contributed two chapters on the subject of traumatic brain injury with an emphasis on accompanying disruptive behavior to the Massachusetts General Comprehensive Clinical Psychiatry.
