BIO
Alison M. Cogan, PhD, OTR/L is an occupational therapist and rehabilitation health services researcher. Her primary research interest is the association between therapy characteristics and patient outcomes, particularly those related to community reintegration for individuals with traumatic brain injury (TBI). Dr. Cogan’s work has focused on the needs of military service members and Veterans with TBI. She recently completed a postdoctoral fellowship at the Washington DC VA Medical Center where she studied participation restrictions among Veterans with TBI within national VA polytrauma outpatient clinics. Dr. Cogan is currently affiliated with the VA Greater Los Angeles Healthcare System where she continues her TBI research and serves as project director for the Coordinating Hub to Promote Research Optimizing Veteran-centric EHR Networks (PROVEN).
