BIO

Mohan Ganesan is a board-certified licensed Physical Therapist and has been working as an Assistant Professor of Physical Therapy since 2016 at Clarke University, Iowa, USA. He completed his bachelor’s degree, a post-professional diploma in rehabilitation, and a master’s degree in Physical Therapy from India. Following his professional and post-professional education in Physical Therapy, he obtained his PhD in Neurophysiology from the National Institute of Mental Health and Neurosciences, Bangalore, India. After moving to the USA in 2012, he was a Post-Doctoral Fellow at the Department of Physical Therapy, University of Illinois, Chicago, until 2016. His research interest focusses on balance and mobility aspects of individuals with neurological disorders and older adults. He has authored and co-authored more than 20 peer-reviewed manuscripts in the fields of neurology, gait, balance, motor control, and rehabilitation. In 2011, he received a certificate of excellence for his work in the field of Neuro-physiotherapy. In 2016, he was designated as an ‘Elite Reviewer’ by the Archives of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. He was nominated as an Endowment chair in 2017 and provided presentations on continuing professional development and teaching technology at Charusat University in India. He has been selected by the Foundation of the Consortium of Multiple Sclerosis Centers (CMSC) in 2018 for Multiple sclerosis (MS) Rehabilitation Therapy Specialty Training Program. He obtained his certified brain injury specialist trainer in 2018. In addition to his research experience, he has extensive teaching experience in professional Physical Therapy Programs and Rehabilitation Sciences.
