Mark your calendars for the Early Career Development Course, designed for early career attendees seeking advice on how to successfully conduct interdisciplinary research in traditional academic settings, as well as non-traditional settings, such as in industry. This is a rare opportunity to network with and learn from leaders in academia and industry — all with rich backgrounds and varied experiences to share. The course will include experts such as Dr. Ed Wirth, CMO of Asterias Biotherapeutics; Dr. Damien Bates, CMO & Head of Research at SanBio, Inc; Dr. Ayanna Howard, founder of Zyrobotics and Linda J. and Mark C. Smith, Endowed Chair and Professor in Bioengineering at Georgia Tech; Dr. Theresa Pape, Neuroscientist and Principal Investigator for Investigator Initiated Study of rTMS in severe TBI; Dr. Stephanie Kolakowsky-Hayner, Director of Spinal Cord Injury Research and Director of Rehabilitation Research Education; and Dr. Ralph Nitkin, Deputy Director for the National Center for Medical Rehabilitation Research (NCMRR).
