BI-ISIG Early Career Scholarship for the ACRM
Annual Conference

ACRM Brain Injury Interdisciplinary Special Interest Group (BI-ISIG) members who are either Early career, or resident/student/fellow, or a consumer, are invited to apply for an annual meeting scholarship to attend the ACRM Annual Conference. The Scholarship is valued up to $700 and can be used to cover costs associated with attendance at the 2023 conference!

ACRM 2023 Annual Conference, Progress in Rehabilitation Research. The conference is widely recognized as the premier interdisciplinary conference for rehabilitation research. It will be held in-person 30 October – 2 November 2023, at the Hilton Atlanta in Atlanta, Georgia.

Early career members of the ACRM Brain Injury Interdisciplinary Special Interest Group (BI-ISIG) are invited to apply for a travel scholarship to attend the Annual Conference held in-person 30 October – 2 November 2023, at the Hilton Atlanta in Atlanta, Georgia.

The Executive Committee of the BI-ISIG is committed to supporting and the involvement of early career members, residents/students/fellows, and consumers in the BI-ISIG and its task forces. Attending the Annual Conference and getting involved in task force work is a great way to get started. Don’t miss this opportunity to network, collaborate with experienced brain injury professionals, and advance your career! There are eight (8) productive BI-ISIG task forces from which to choose.

REQUIREMENTS

MULTIPLE SCHOLARSHIPS will be awarded to support attendance at the ACRM Annual Conference! All nominees are required to:

  • Be current ACRM members (i.e., paid membership
  • Be either early career (within five (5) years of completion of training, terminal degree OR postdoctoral fellowship, if applicable), resident/student/fellow, OR consumers;
  • Demonstrate active participation or specific plans to participate in one of the 8 BI-ISIG Task Forces prior to applying for the scholarship;
  • Complete and submit a scholarship nomination form;
  • Obtain and submit endorsement letters (500 words or less) from their BI-ISIG Task Force chair(s);
  • Attend the BI-ISIG Summit meeting and the Task Force meeting at the Annual Conference.

Each BI-ISIG Annual Conference Scholarship recipient will receive support, valued up to $700, to cover registration, or other expenses to attend the 2023 Annual Conference. Self-nominations are welcomed. All nominees must have their BI-ISIG Task Force chair endorse their nomination by submitting an endorsement letter. Scholarship recipients are required to attend the BI-ISIG Summit meeting and their Task Force meeting at the Annual Conference.

Previous BI-ISIG Scholarship recipients remain eligible to apply, if they meet scholarship requirements. However, preference will be given to new applicants when a nominee has received two consecutive BI-ISIG Scholarships.
