Jeffrey R. Basford, MD, PhD

Dr. Basford is Professor of PM&R at the Mayo Clinic where his research has focused on brain rehabilitation, the physical agents, cancer rehabilitation, and functional preservation. He is a corresponding member of the Japanese Association of Rehabilitation Medicine and has served on the Archives editorial board, both as a member and its editor in chief, for 30+ years.
John Morris, PhD

Dr. Morris is a clinical research scientist at Shepherd Center focusing on research and development of assistive and rehabilitation technology for people with all types of disability. He leads several R&D projects for mobile software applications and clinical interventions based on mainstream consumer technology platforms, and directs several research projects focusing on user needs and usability for product and service design, development and testing for the Rehabilitation Engineering Research Center for Wireless Technologies (Wireless RERC) and for the LiveWell Rehabilitation Engineering Research Center for Wireless Technologies for Community Living, Health and Function (LiveWell RERC). He has also served as operations director for both of these RERCs. Additionally, John is the local PI for two research and training projects on caregiving – one funded by the Department of Defense to develop a skills assessment tool for direction of caregiving by people with tetraplegia, and one funded by NIDILRR to develop an online course to train paid caregivers how to work with people with spinal cord injury. Prior to joining Shepherd Center, John worked for Oracle Corporation as a senior product development manager, designing and validating new and updated products and services. He also served as Visiting Assistant Professor in Political Science at the University of Connecticut. John has been a member of ACRM continuously since 2011, originally serving as a member of the Consumer Relations Committee (absorbed into the Communications Committee) and later as a Chair of the Communications Committee. He currently serves as founding Co-Chair of the Technology Networking Group.

Dr. Neumann is an Associate Professor and Research Director at Indiana University and the Rehabilitation Hospital of Indiana (RHI). Her research focuses on emotion perception and regulation deficits after traumatic brain injury (TBI). She serves on the ACRM Program Committee and BI-ISIG Executive Committee. She is also on the editorial review board for the Journal of Head Trauma Rehabilitation.
Elizabeth R. Skidmore, PhD, OTR/L, FAOTA

Dr. Skidmore is Professor and Chair of Occupational Therapy at the University of Pittsburgh. Dr. Skidmore’s federally-funded research examines associations among cognitive impairments, mood symptoms, and activities of daily living in persons with brain injury and neurocognitive decline; and interventions that promote independence among adults with cognitive impairments.

Dr. Weintraub has been Medical Director of the Brain Injury Program at Craig Hospital since 1986 and is an Associate Clinical Professor at the University of Colorado School of Medicine. His specific research and clinical interests are in neuroimaging biomarkers, neuropharmacology, access to rehabilitation and the long-term consequences of brain injury afflicting individuals and their families.
