The vision for the ACRM Training Institute is to develop and advance clinicians/physicians and researchers to become passionate, interdisciplinary, global leaders across all disciplines of rehabilitation medicine. To achieve this, programming will focus on providing experiences that:

ACRM TRAINING INSTITUTE (ATI)
Purpose: The vision for the ACRM Training Institute is to support the development and advancement of researchers and clinicians/physicians involved in rehabilitation and habilitation to become passionate, interdisciplinary, global leaders. To achieve this, programming will focus on providing experiences that:
- Build interdisciplinary rehabilitation research and clinical capacity
- Develop leaders in the field
- Allow for ongoing, continuous career development
- Optimize knowledge translation from research to practice and policy
- Have a national and international impact
Responsibilities
- Plan Spring meetings
- Provide input to leadership training initiatives
- Support the development and integration of webinars
- Assess opportunities to expand training resources
ACRM TRAINING INSTITUTE (ATI) 2022 ACCOMPLISHMENTS
- Met attendance goals for 2022 Spring Meeting
and learn from experience that include both in-person
(Chicago) and virtual participation- Total attendees = 81, of which virtual attendees = 26
- Paid attendees for Leadership Course = 41
- Paid attendees for TBI Course = 6
- Integrated leadership-oriented content in the Spring Meeting and other appropriate events as part of ACRM-wide mentoring initiative
- Maintained support for webinars to add value to membership and attract new members, but with limitations due to resources/budget constraints
ACRM TRAINING INSTITUTE (ATI) 2023 GOALS
- Continue offering leadership development content that addresses current healthcare delivery challenges in the Spring Meeting
- Continue refining the Spring Meeting model by adding distinctive content that highlights ACRM members’ expertise
- Collaborate with the Program Committee and Community Groups to learn more about ACRM members’ training needs
