Program Committee

The purpose of the Programming Planning Committee is to organize and plan content for the annual meeting for both the pre-conference and core conference.

Responsibilities

1. Represent ACRM on the Disability & Rehabilitation Research Coalition (DRRC). ACRM is 1 of 7 members of the steering committee… monthly steering committee & monthly all-member meetings.
2. Review and edit memos, requests for information, recommendations, etc., that DRRC sends to elected and appointed officials.
3. Inform ACRM members of proposed and recently passed regulations / legislation, and highlight opportunities for ACRM members to participate in the process.

ACCOMPLISHMENTS 2022

1. Met with leadership from NCMRR, NIMH, and NIMHD.
2. Met with new NIDILRR Director, Dr. Forber-Pratt.
3. Met with Chief Officer for Scientific Workforce Diversity (COSWD).
4. Reviewed, edited, and ‘signed on’ to countless disability and rehabilitation communications.
5. Established the Health Policy Taskforce within the Health Services Research Networking Group.
6. Co-leading special symposium on Health Policy with Physicians & Clinicians Networking Group at our Nov conference.

GOALS 2023

1. Evaluate the structure and processes of this once-great committee.
2. Improve our dissemination approach.
3. Get some admin help.
